A resilient Spirit

Do spiders "creep" you out? They're not my favorite creature either, but there's something about spiders that fascinates me. Even in the strongest winds and hardest rains, spider webs don’t falter. Though tossed and blown, they don’t break. Somehow, amidst the harshest circumstances, spiders find a way to sustain themselves. They persevere and even thrive despite their environment. Oddly enough, if you think about it, spiders represent the resilience life requires.
  
Adapt Don't Abandon
How many times are we rejected; told we don’t fit. And that what we have to offer isn’t valuable. People often dismiss and even destroy what they don’t understand. When you’re criticized, don’t let it derail you. ​Treat criticism like a shopping trip. Look for something you can use, if you find it, keep it. But whatever doesn't fit or can't help you, leave it on the shelf.

Build to Bend
There’s always more than one way to do everything. Considering input from others doesn’t have to mean compromising your values. There’s nothing wrong with being committed to a particular approach or belief, but rigidity robs you of growth and joy.  It’s one thing to be focused and another to be fixated. Usually, the best approach to creating anything meaningful begins with looking at things from multiple perspectives.
 
Pressure Produces Promise
Nothing happens in a vacuum, when you make space to see others, you invariably come to better understand yourself. It’s the instances in life that challenge our “status quo” that help us evolve. Seasons and situations that force us to decide whether to grow or remain static, define our lives. The pressure to persevere, is the push that propels us toward what we may have wanted, but weren’t willing (or able) to do on our own. When we embrace it; it elevates us.
 
Reflect
God conceived us in love and is always working behind the scenes because He loves us. Matthew 6:4

God works everything together for the good of those that love Him and do what He says.
